Creating more paper crafts ideas for Easy Papercraft Friday.
I recently introduced a new challenge that I hope you all will participate in: Easy Papercraft Friday!
For the month of January I'm going to focus on one specific topic, and every Friday I'll show a new project that I’ve designed with that topic in mind. Please feel free to submit your own personal interpretation of the topic for January in the Comments section each week.
January’s Challenge: What Can You Do With a Circle?
Do you think you can come up with some really cute card ideas starting with just a circle? Well, that's the challenge this month. Keep it simple or step it up, it’s all up to you.
For this week's card idea I used a large sticky note with a circle cut out to create a mask. After I sponged on some color in the circle using a few different ink pads and Blending Brushes I stamped the trees in Shaded Spruce Ink. The temporary adhesive on the back of the sticky note helps keep the mask in place while I do all this.
I stamped the lantern on some scratch Basic White cardstock and again I colored it in with my Blending Brushes, ink, and added a few Stampin' Blends. I cut it out with my Paper Snips and attached it to the card with some Stampin' Dimensionals after stamping the card sentiment.
What I Like About This Card Idea
One thing I appreciate about paper crafts ideas like this is that it doesn't use a lot of cardstock. This project used just one half sheet of Basic White and a small leftover scrap piece. Simple and easy!
