Making Birthday Cards Shabby Chic

Homemade Birthday Cards: Ain't Love GrandMaking birthday cards shabby chic is easy and FUN!  You don't have to worry about things being just-so because rips, tears, and smudges are part of the charm!  To create a birthday card with the shabby chic look you can wad up the card stock and paper until it's really wrinkled, sponge on and smudge ink all over, roughen up the edges, and leave things a little off-kilter.  It's like playing with your food!  🙂  They just might believe you this time when you tell them it's a handmade birthday card!

This card features the Ain't Love Grand Hostess set, which will be retiring the end of May, and I used the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle punch for making paper flowers.
