Make a Cute Birthday Card; Sneak Peek

Make a Cute Birthday Card - www.Stamp4Joy.com

You can make a cute birthday card with the oh, so adorable host set Little Ladybug.

Haven't seen this set? That's because it's not out yet. I'm showing you a sneak peek from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Catalog in January. Full of precious lady bug images, it's just so sweet and makes me so happy just looking at them!

The images are nice and large, perfect for “coloring” in. I love coloring, don't you? Remember those adult coloring books? Are those still around, even?

I used a variety of my Stampin' Blends to lay down the color. These images would also look great using watercolor paper and watercolor pencils, too.

I did some masking of the images to give some depth. It's so easy to do. Just stamp an image on copy paper or a Post-It note and cut it out. After stamping one image on your card, cover it with your mask and then stamp another. Remove the mask, and now you have an image “behind” another one. Simple!

I embossed in white embossing powder on a strip of black card stock for the birthday greeting. This and an extra flower (that I cut out and colored) were “popped” up on the card front using some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I actually used a quarter of a mini dimensional for the flower. 🙂

On the right is a quick peek at the inside of the card.

This stamp set includes greeting card sentiments suitable for thank you cards, thinking of you, accomplishments, and of course to make a cute birthday card (or two!). I know I'm going to have a lot of fun creating handmade cards with this set.
