I needed to make a kid's birthday card and paper gift bag today for a two-year-old's birthday party. I actually bought this set (Blast Off – retired) last year to make a card for his first birthday and didn't get it done, so here I am a year later. LOL! I'm picking up a harmonica later today to go in the homemade gift bag.
I splattered a very small amount of bleach on the background of the card to give the impression of far-off stars. It's probably hard to tell in the photograph. I added some rhinestones for a little more “twinkle” in the sky and for the lights on the space ship.
Using the Gift Bag Punch Board you can get a bag made up in no time! This is a medium sized one. I started with a piece of card stock that was 8 by 11 inches.
I decorated the front of it with the brave astronaut launching off into space on his new adventure. Of course, on the birthday card he's on a fabulous space walk!
How fun is this stamp set? I think everyone will get a kick out of this handmade birthday card and gift bag combo.
