ILCS50 – Simple Birthday Cards and a Card Design Contest

Simple Birthday Cards - blog.Stamp4Joy.comCard sketches are a great way to quickly come up with simple birthday cards, and that's exactly what I did.  This design is for one of my nieces who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow.  It was quick and easy to make once I decided on the stamps I wanted to use that would work with the card design.

Of course, you know I love the classic look of black and white, but I punched it up with some Real Red in the hearts. The stamps all came from Hello Life, and the heart patterned paper is from the Everyday Chic Designer Paper collection.

Please note:  Hello Life and other products shown here are retired, but you might be able to find them gently used on my Retired Rubber Stamps page.

I punched out a little heart using my Hearts Border Punch to add to the center of the white heart, and I finished it off by adding a tiny rhinestone to the center of it.

ILCS50As I said, this began with the card sketch at i Love Card Sketches this week.  I can't bellieve this is our 50th sketch!  We're so excited so we decided to have a contest!  Everyone who submits a card using this week's 50th sketch will be entered into a drawing.  On Sunday, October 18th we will randomly draw for one winner, who will receive a three-month subscription to Papercrafts Toolbox.  Be sure to submit your e-mail address when submitting your project so we can contact you if you're the winner. And you can enter as many times as you'd like! Already a member?  Not to worry, we've got you covered!
