Most Sundays this year I'm devoting to ideas for Christmas cards. Now is the time to begin planning your handmade Christmas card designs. Just enter “Christmas” in the Search box in the upper right for more handmade card designs.
With today's card I went back to a tried and true stamp set, Lovely as a Tree. It's an oldie but goodie! Every year it's among our top sellers, and for very good reason! You can make a card for any occasion using this stamp set. Don't believe me? Just enter “Lovely as a Tree” in the Search box! 🙂
This was an incredibly simple card to make. I used a pattern from the Merry Moments Designer Paper collection as the background, mounted on Cherry Cobbler card stock. The tree was stamped on a piece of Whisper White, and then I sponged on some Pool Party ink over and around it for a crisp winter look. The greeting is from the retired set Bright & Beautiful. I used the Banner Triple Punch on each end.
I began with this week's sketch at i Love Card Sketches, although instead of using squares I decided to use rectangles. Give it a try!
