Lovely as a Tree (comes in wood or clear mount) is a most versatile set. You can use it for just about any occasion or sentiment. Here I used it for a handmade thinking of you card. I made this for a friend who might get some bad news later in the week, and I wanted him to know he's in my thoughts.
The sentiment came from Sheltering Tree and was stamped in Garden Green ink. Then I punched or cut out the different size stars with a few tools. The smallest ones came from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, which is on the retiring list and only available until the end of May or while supplies last. The middle size stars were cut out using the Circle Card Thinlits Dies, also on the retiring list and on sale! The larger star was cut out with the smallest framelit from the Stars Framellits Dies.
I thought a little bit of lace would be okay for a guy card, and when I showed it to my son that's the first thing he pointed out that he liked, so I guess I was right! 🙂 It's Venetian Crochet Trim, and it's retiring and on sale, also.
Lastly, the patterned paper in the background came from the Typeset Specialty Designer Paper collection. It's also on the retiring list, and I'm really going to miss it!
The color combo used for this handmade thinking of you card is shown below. Happy Monday!

What a pretty card! Love the trees. I hope that your friend didn’t get the anticipated bad news.
Me, too, Dodie. Haven’t talked to him yet. Thanks!

Thank you, Marisa. Yes, Lovely as a Tree is still, after all this time, one of my go-to sets. What are you waiting for? LOL!
