NOTE: This card features a retired stamp set. You can find retired stamp sets on my Retired Rubber Stamps page.

This handmade thank you card features the stamp set Daisy Delight. I am yearning for spring and summer already. How about you? I thought if I made a pretty homemade flower card that it would pick me up. It certainly is cheerful with the bright colors, don't you think?

To start off I decided I wanted to give the front of the card a bit of a tile look, so I cut the feature card stock into a 3″ x 4″ piece. I used the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Combo Pack to color in the petals on the large flower, and everything else used classic inks. Once the images were stamped and colored in, I then cut it up into 1″ squares.

To make things quick and easy I just used Mini Glue Dots to place the squares back down in order. I just used two glue dots, one in each of opposite corners on the backs of the squares. Of course the bold greeting card sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink along the bottom edge.

This actually was a pretty quick and simple card to design and put together once I decided what stamp set I wanted to use. I think it would be beautiful with a big bold floral image, too, don't you? And the beauty of this stamp set is everything is stamped separately so really no coloring is needed. And you don't have to be precise with your placement, either. Even it things are a little off, it still looks good. Love that!
