Are you looking for a fun and quirky card Friendly Seagulls card idea? Here's one that’s perfect for a laugh — or even Valentine’s Day! It didn’t take long to make, though I did a bit of fussy cutting. And guess what? You can select the stamp set or designer paper packet FREE with a $60 order during Sale-A-Bration!
I started by stamping the seagull munching on fries and the fry box onto Basic White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Before cutting them out I quickly colored everything using Stampin' Blends markers.
For the background I chose a subtle blue pattern from the Bloom Impressions 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper pack. While this pack mostly features floral patterns, the backside offers gentler designs — this one reminds me of a cloudy sky.
I cut the wooden pillars came from the Country Woods 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper pack. I used the darker woodgrain design and love how realistic it looks! It really makes this Friendly Seagulls card idea pop, don’t you think?
To create a beachy look I stamped sand and pebbles on Crumb Cake cardstock, then tore the bottom edge for a natural finish. I added a few birds stamped in Basic Gray ink above to complete the scene.
Finally, the fry box was mounted onto the sand with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. It adds just the right amount of depth and makes the card extra fun!
I think this card will be perfect for my son — he could use a little cheer today.
What do you think of this design? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
