With the Timeless Elegance Designer Paper collection you can make exquisite flower birthday cards with little effort. The paper is so beautiful to begin with, just a little stamping or coloring is all you will need to make memorable homemade birthday cards they'll cherish. Did you know this pattern was hand-drawn by one of the Stampin' Up! artists? Remarkable! They are so very talented.
Here I used some subtle water coloring over the roses with Watermelon Wonder ink. To me, it looks like coloring on old black and white photos. I love it! The photo doesn't really display how beautiful this really is. The shading is already done for you in the drawing, so it's simple, simple, simple!
I grabbed the greeting from Butterfly Basics and embossed it in black. I thought the feminine handwriting font was the perfect companion to the beautiful floral pattern.
The inspiration for this flower card came from this week's card making template at i Love Card Sketches. Instead of cutting card stock to mirror the wavy edge and then adding things over top, I let the watercolored roses suggest the curvy pattern.
