This easy floral birthday card came together quickly thanks to some pretty paper and ready-to-use floral pieces. Sometimes it’s nice to make a card that looks like you spent ages on it, even when you didn’t!
Easy Floral Birthday Card with Precut Flowers
For this card I used the Framed Violets Bundle along with the Violet Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper. The combination made it easy to create a soft floral look without adding a lot of extra steps.
I started with Secret Sea and Basic White Cardstock. The Secret Sea paper with the little white polka dots is one of the patterns from the Violet Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love how those tiny dots add some interest without competing with the flowers. But one of my favorite things about this paper collection is that it includes a couple of sheets of precut die-cut pieces. That’s where the violets and leaves on this card came from. I simply chose the pieces I wanted and arranged them around the center, attaching to the card with some dimensionals.
Pretty Details Without the Extra Work
Those precut flowers are such a handy shortcut! There was no stamping and coloring each flower, and definitely no fussy cutting required. They make it easy to add lots of pretty floral detail in just a few minutes.
I stamped the birthday greeting in Secret Sea ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then I cut it out with the irregular oval die from the Framed Violets Bundle.
The greeting was glued right in the center, with the delicate flowers and leaves cascading on the left.
This easy floral birthday card is a great example of how designer paper can do more than provide a background. With coordinating precut pieces it can take care of much of the decorating, too! And when you need a birthday card without a lot of time for coloring, cutting, and fussing, a few ready-made flowers can be a very good thing.
