We really are getting into the final stretch for our DIY Christmas cards if you're planning on mailing them out. I know I'd like to have all the cards I plan on mailing done by Thanksgiving. But there's still time, so don't dismay! After that I will still be making cards for local mailing or handing out.
This simple card started with the current sketch from i Love Card Sketches (see below), and features the Holiday Home Photopolymer Stamps and the All is Calm Designer Paper — love it!
I grabbed my Lost Lagoon ink pad to stamp Santa and his reindeer and the greeting, and Lost Lagoon card stock to coordinate with the designer paper for matting.
The Brushed Silver Card Stock looks fabulous as a mat for the greeting piece, and coordinates wonderfully with the silver dots in the patterned paper below. The greeting and mat were cut out with my Big Shot and the Ovals Collection framelits.
I popped on a few of the Frosted Sequins and added some rhinestones in the middle to mimic the snowflakes and the silver dots on the papers.
How did I do? Please leave your comments below.
