Beautiful DIY birthday cards can be easily created using the stamp set Wetlands by Stampin' Up! Though it works well for anyone, this set is especially great if you're looking to design a greeting card for a man. I created this handmade card idea for the birthday of a friend of the family.
Crumb Cake and Basic Black was the start of my color scheme. I sponged colors onto the Very Vanilla card stock, and then stamped the birds in black and the reeds in Crumb Cake over it.
My Big Shot and a framelit from the Deco Labels Collection was used to cut out the image. I used the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut out the greeting, which also came from Wetlands. The subtle background paper came from the Trim the Tree Designer Paper Stack, and the ribbon is 1/2″ Crumb Cake Seam Binding.
