You can make this bright and colorful birthday greeting card for friends. I think it will be a hit!
I grabbed the retired stamp set Delivering Cheer to create this card. You'll find this gently used set for sale on my Retired Rubber Stamps page while available.
This stamp set is also great for coming up with cute homemade Christmas card making ideas. You can customize your Xmas card design just by switching out the top and bottom stamps. Color the images in, leave them as is, paper piece the images, or do a combination of all three!
Here I used my Stampin' Blends to color in everything but the skirt. For that I did a bit of paper piecing.
I used one of the black-and-white paper patterns from the exclusive Pattern Party 12″ x 12″ Designer Series paper pack available for hostesses. The image was just stamped in black ink on the paper and then cut out with my Paper Snips Scissors. I glued the skirt on after coloring in the rest of the image with my Stampin' Blends.
A colorful striped paper was used on the left edge of the focal layer. It came from the same paper pack. Using small strips along edges is a great way to use those smaller scraps left over after our projects. I think it really adds a lot of pop to the card. A small, but mighty impact! 🙂
The card greeting came from Peaceful Moments. I stamped it in Poppy Parade to match her shoes. 🙂 Then I cut it out using a small tag die from the Tasteful Labels Dies set.
