Explore the laid-back vintage vibes of my latest birthday card design!
I finally decided to break out the Detailed Dogwood stamp set. Oh, boy, it's a game-changer for that effortlessly cool shabby chic look. And the best part? You can snag this fantastic set for free with just a $100 order — how cool is that?
Mixing and matching stamps from the Notes of Nature set was a creative joy, resulting in a beautiful blend that adds a unique touch. For the greeting I opted for the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Garden Meadow set. Using the rough-edged die from the Gorgeously Made Dies collection to cut it out helped to keep the feel of old and worn.
Fussy Cutting Can Be Worth It!
Sure, there was some fussy cutting involved for the flowers, but it turned out to be a breeze and totally worth the effort. And the extra foliage was cut out using Notes of Nature Dies, so that was easy. I did use a sponge dauber to ink up a lot of the elements and all around the torn cardstock to tie everything together.
Finally, I added just a sprinkle of Iridescent Foil Gems for that perfect touch of sparkle — it's the little things that make it pop!
This birthday card design isn't the only one rocking that shabby chic feel. Check out this birthday card idea for more inspiration.
