Bee Birthday Card

Bee Birthday Card - Stamp4Joy.com

Who wouldn't love receiving this adorable bee birthday card?  I'm planning on giving it to my niece when she visits from South Korea in February.  I think she'll get a kick out of it!

That cute little bee was cut out of one of the patterns included in the Bee Mine Designer Paper pack (162546).  I popped it up on a couple Stampin' Dimensionals and stamped the flight path behind in black.

Don't forget about My New Product Shares, available until January 3rd to the first 20 people who sign up!

How'd I do that?

I really like the “Happy bee Day” sentiment.  To create it  for this bee birthday card I had to do some

selective stamping.  I used my Basic Black Marker to apply color to the “Happy” and “Day” from the “Happy Valentine's Day” stamp.  Then I used my Real Red Marker to color just the “bee” from the “bee mine” stamp.  Of course, the three words were stamped separately to get the proper placement.

The Bee Mine Designer Paper pack also includes the delightful striped paper pattern.   The addition of the Sweet Sorbet strips above and below the greeting contributes a vibrant cheeriness to the card.

While I typically would avoid placing so many flowers close to the sentiment, this time I encountered a couple of small smudges where the marker accidentally inked.  To fix it I decided to add a few extra flowers to discretely cover them up.  🙂
