Why not try this triple time stamping technique for your next round of DIY birthday card ideas?
I made this card slightly smaller than a regular one so I could keep it square. I started with a piece of 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ Very Vanilla card stock, which I folded in half to create the card base.
I cut another piece of Very Vanilla card stock at 3-1/2″ square and then stamped my “scene.” I used Ornamental Pine and Lovely as a Tree in Always Artichoke ink.
Then I grabbed my Squares Collection Framelits, selecting two that were not right next to each other in size, centered them over the stamped piece and cut out the smaller squares from the center. I cut 1/8″ larger pieces of Always Artichoke card stock with my Stampin' Trimmer to mat each square, and then layered them on the front of the card as you see in the picture.
The greeting came from Itty Bitty Banners, which I trimmed close with my Paper Snips. Then I used the Bitty Banner Framelits to cut out the mat in Always Artichoke.
