My sister and I made these adorable petite purse homemade bridal shower favors for my niece. Aren't they cute? We cut out the purses using the Big Shot Sizzix machine (113439), and finished about 30 of them in less than four hours. And since we got two purses out of one 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock, they were really very inexpensive to make.
We decorated them using three Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Perfect Polka Dots (117335), Finial Press (115963), and Square Lattice (119976). And don't forget the rhinestone clasp using the Basic Rhinestones (119246).
Each of these beauties contained two Hershey Nugget candies wrapped with address labels that were stamped and printed with the bride & groom's name and the date they're getting married.
Of course, everyone loved these little handmade wedding favors — who wouldn't? Especially when filled with chocolate! 🙂
The fun Petite Purse Bigz L Die (125606) is one of the sneak peek items from the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog. You can buy it until the end of this month, but if you don't do it before the end of April you'll have to wait until June when the new Stampin' Up! catalog makes its debut.
