My Dolly Parton tribute is going to make my birthday celebration a little different this year.
My birthday is Monday, and I usually like to celebrate with some sort of special. This year, though, I wanted to do something with a little more meaning.
Dolly Parton Tribute: Celebrating by Giving Back
I’m not going to try to list all of Dolly’s accomplishments or the many reasons she was so loved. I’m sure you’ve seen plenty of wonderful tributes recently. For me, it was always about more than the music.
Of course, I’ve long admired her immense songwriting talent, but I’ve also been a big fan of her generosity, her humor, and that unmistakable Dolly spirit. She had such a wonderful way of making people laugh while also doing an incredible amount of good.
So instead of my usual birthday special, I’ve decided to celebrate by giving back.
From now through Saturday, September 5, I’ll donate 20% of my Stampin’ Up! sales to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Every purchase made through my store during that time will count, no matter the amount. My donation will be based on merchandise sales before tax and shipping and after any redeemed Stampin’ Rewards.
Ready to shop? Any purchase made through my online store through September 5 will be included when I calculate my donation. There’s no minimum purchase required.
A Little More Time to Participate
My birthday specials are usually just for the day, or occasionally for a week. But this year feels a little different, so I decided to give this Dolly Parton tribute some extra time. That also gives you more flexibility if you’d like your crafting purchase to be part of it.
The Designer Series Paper and Cardstock Sale is going on now and ends August 31st. So you can shop before the sale ends and have your purchase count toward my donation. Or you can wait and see what catches your eye when the new products are released September 1st. And if you happen to find something you’d like from both… well, you can enjoy a little of each!

Putting Books Into the Hands of Children
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has always been close to her heart, helping put books into the hands of young children. It seemed like a fitting way to honor the generosity and kindness I’ve always admired in her.
