Here’s a silly birthday card idea that’s guaranteed to bring some laughs! It all started with the One More Year stamp set. This set is full of cute, slightly irreverent sayings that are perfect for playful card designs.
For this card I used the sentiment “At least you're not as OLD as you'll be NEXT YEAR.” It’s such a fun way to add a touch of humor to a handmade card!
I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock, which matches the colors in the designer paper perfectly. To add a finishing touch I tied a bow with Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon around one end of the strip. Simple, but so effective!
The focal point of the card is the cake image. I used my alcohol markers to color the cake, plate, and candles, then cut it into a circle using the Spotlight on
Nature Dies. These dies are fantastic because they offer a variety of circle designs so you can easily match them to your mood or theme.
For the background, I used a piece of Bloom Impressions Designer Paper. It’s bright, cheerful, and available for free during Sale-A-Bration with a $60 order — but only while supplies last!
