On Saturday I began playing with the idea of creating some handmade card designs that are what I'm calling faux wooden sign cards or faux pallet sign cards. I posted one on My Facebook Page which you can check out.
Here's another one I made inspired by a wooden sign I found on Pinterest and which I attempted to replicate using Stampin' Up! stamps.
In addition to using the Hardwood stamp I grabbed a few words from a variety of stamp sets: Hello Life, For All Things, Flower Patch, and Going Global.
I used the Sweetheart Punch to punch a heart from scrap paper and then sponged it in with some Early Espresso ink.
I'll be showing more of these faux wooden sign handmade card designs later, but what do you think so far?

I absolutely love this card!! My favorite background stamp has always been the woodgrain. This is a super idea. I’m making my son’s wedding invitations & he has chosen this background for them. Its an outdoor wedding so its perfect.
Oh, that’s awesome, Tink! When I was putting this blog post together I was thinking about trying something for homemade wedding cards using that stamp. I’d love to see what you come up with!
