As many of you know, this year I'm focusing most of my Sundays on handmade Christmas card designs. I don't know why, but when I saw the sketch at Mojo Monday for this week it just said to me “Christmas card!” Maybe it was the little flower in the bottom corner, who knows.
I know it's not Sunday, but since I've decided to make a few samples for the card challenge (I'm hoping to be selected as a designer) I came up with this design for the card sketch. and may even make one or two more before the week is through! 🙂
I pulled out my retired Deck the Halls Designer Paper and Watercolor Winter Christmas stamp set. You may remember, these are what I used for the last Christmas Card Sunday project. They work beautifully together, don't you think? I added the sentiment from Greetings of the Season.
A little fussy cutting and sponging along the edges with Early Espresso ink gives it a bit of a vintage Christmas card feel. Add a few tiny pearls for an elegant touch… I love it!
Today is the first day you can buy from the new catalog. Maybe check out the new Christmas offerings! See what's new today in my Online Store!
Here's the card sketch from Mojo if you'd care to play along. And wish me luck!
